Happy New Year! 2011

Quote of the Day!
"You have to set goals that are almost out of reach. If you set a goal that is attainable without much work or thought, you are stuck with something below your true talent and potential."
My Vision Board for 2011 (I'll post a close-up tomorrow)

I really can't believe it is a New Year! 2011 is here and I feel like we just had a New Year party last year yesterday. Some of the Highlights from 2010 were:

We as a family opened up a boutique for 8 months called Alexis Trends then shut it down due to my babies needing mommy at home. So I am working on our website to just do everything online. Just because it didn't work out as planned doesn't mean we stop, it just means go another route and fix things.

We had 6 food booths this year and they were all a success. We learned new things, learned how to cook better food because it was for other people, learned how to budget and shop for food, and learned that we need to be organized in order to keep moving forward and making money instead of loosing money.

We discovered that Sofele loves to sing and dance!! I know that he will make it big with his talents! He really is full of life and energetic. He loves to hangout with his friends(cousins) and loves to eat candy all night long. Ray doesn't approve of it, either do I but it will hopefully fade away with the love for candy.
He loves to read books and take pictures for sure.

The twins have learned so much! Alexis started walking at 11 months and Austin has learned to climb on chairs, the stairs, and just everything you can think of. They love to make a huge mess especially in the kitchen. They love to eat. They love to dance and sing as well with there older brother. They have grown quite a few teeth.

So that is just a few highlights from last year. This year I am really going to stay focused and move forward. Some of my goals for this year are:
1. Eat Healthy and lose weight
To do this I will stop drinking soda and walk for at least 30 minutes every other day.
2. Attend to the temple once a week and pay a full tithing.
To do this I will plan better and stop spending money on dumb stuff.
3. Put Sofele into singing lessons, piano lessons, dance lessons, acting classes and soccer.
To do this I will stay focused, make more money to put him in all these activities and make time.
4. Finish Alexis Trends online website and keep making headbands.
To do this I will stay up later to finish headbands, and hurry and get the website up and going.
5. Travel more with my little family. Even if it is to park city and back!
Sometime we need to just take a break and calm down. So that what this goal is for.

Last Sunday we were having family home evening with my parents and brothers and sisters. We all had a turn to share some of our goals and Sofele started crying because he wanted a turn to share his goals. Everyone looked at him and he said,
I want to be a singer and I want to hangout with my friends! Thats all...
I was shocked because I didn't even know he was listening to us. He really has goals and he really listens. No one told him what to say he already knew. So I am going to do everything I can to help him with his goals for this year.

Here are pictures from New Years Eve.. More pictures are on my facebook if you want to check them out.
