Mothers Day

Well Mothers Day is over and I guess it was a good one. Nothing like trying to take a day off of mommy duties. So Saturday morning I woke up to my dad at my front door. He handed me $200 and said Happy Mothers Day! Im thinking to myself, well that's not fair because Im just going to use it on everyone else. Its just habit. Guess what??? I drove to Family Dollar and ended up buying cleaning supplies, gel for the boys, socks for the baby, nail polish for Alexis, snacks for Sister Sofele's box, trash bags for the kitchen (a must) and just some other random things. The best part about that shopping trip was everything was 30% off. I scored haha. So if your looking for cleaning supplies go over there. Im pretty sure everything will be 50% offt this week because the store is closing up here in Murray area. Back to my $200 dollars. So yeah I used half the money over there. Then I called my mom and asked her if she wanted to go out to lunch? We snuck out for lunch then went back home like I didn't just start off my morning with $200 dollors ha...
So much is going on that some days you just want to shut down and pretend like your not busy at all. Saturday was just that day! I had originally planned to go get my hair done, wax my face, and get some work done because me and my mom are so close to our next promotion and then on top of that we had a birthday party to attend and really couldn't miss it for anything because these people have done so much for my family. Turns out I got nothing done and I went hella late to the party. That's forever the life of a momma!! Its never about you, even on mothers day lol. Welcome to reality.
Sofele made me a card from his school and it was super cute. He also gave me a dollar he had saved from last weeks treat money. I just love this kid. Then he asked me what else do I want for mothers day and I said a clean room. He said that's not a present, and I said that would be the best one haha.

Sunday morning I just wanted to kill Isi because he came over to my house at 4am to wake me up and say happy mothers day. He said they were making breakfast at 7am to come over. They took all the kids and I went back to bed until they called. Breakfast turned out good. We had french toast, eggs, bacon, hot chocolate and french bread. They decorated a table just for mom and myself full of chocolate candy. We ended up finishing by 8:30a and rushed home to get everyone ready for church because the primary kids had their program. After church we went out to eat at Chucks while waiting to hear from Sister Sofele. The night ended beautiful with a nice gift from my hubby and a family home evening with our family. We shared what is going on for this week and our goal to push for TC (our promotion) by Saturdays regional.

May we all create a wonderful week and be grateful for everything that comes our way.
